Plaquemine Community Center
The rusted out abandoned old Nadler Foundry building was re-invented into a15,000 square feet Community Center that accommodates up to 641 people with state-of-the-art commercial kitchen facilities, ample restrooms, and a covered outdoor cooking area adjacent to the kitchen
Includes an attached 11,000 square feet covered, open-air pavilion named the Henry Nadler Pavilion
Original unique aspects of the foundry were retained, such as the original cranes and catwalks
Is used for both community events and private functions. Completed and opened in October 2020.

Plaquemine Riverfront Recreational Trail
Features:
1.3 mile walking and biking trail on the Mississippi River levee - Under construction in 2021 and 2022. Trail head is at the Plaquemine Lock Historic Site. Extends north to the North Plaquemine Park. Extends south to near the Plaquemine ferry landing. Ramp access to the Plaquemine Lock, to the North Plaquemine Park and the Fort Area Park.
